Last night, Walking with the Wounded were honoured at the annual Sun Military Awards for their ‘Support of the Armed Forces’.
The annual awards ceremony, which took place at The Imperial War Museum in central London, featured some of the finest celebrities from the worlds of TV, music and sport.
The star-studded event was also attended by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and expedition patron, Prince Harry, who was delighted to present the prestigious award to fellow team member, Private Jaco Van Gass.
Van Gass commented; ‘Never did we think we’d receive an award – especially from Prince Harry, who was in the team. It makes it even more special”.
The Sun Military Awards, also known as ‘The Millies’, celebrates the bravery of the armed forces and awards military heroes who have made enormous sacrifices and have served their country with the highest distinction in the past year.
