The Telegraph reports:
The Prince said he was proud to be patron of an expedition that was raising money to train and educate injured servicemen and women, “to manage their transition into civilian employment.”
“They have given their all for our security, security is the very least, as a nation, we owe them.”
“Walking with the Wounded has gone from one-off expedition to fully fledged charity,” he added.
The charity plans to put five injured servicemen on the summit of the world’s highest mountain and is launching the ambitious project with the Prince’s help.
Talking about the next expedition to the Himalayas to climb Mount Everest, Prince Harry said it was a name to strike fears in the hearts of mountaineers.
