The team reaches the top of Mount Lobuche

The Walking With The Wounded Everest 2012 Expedition, supported by Glenfiddich, has reached the summit of this imposing mountain – a considerble acheivement in its own right.

Known as the sister peak of Mount Everest, Mt Lobuche (6,100m) provides a fantastic opportunity for the expedition team to acclimatise to more challenging conditions, prior to actually heading to the world’s highest point.

Lobuche is a “great training peak”, said Martin Hewitt, the Expedition Manager. It meant that the boys could become comfortable using their specialst equipment under pressure and at altitude.
