Liverpool’s Crowne Plaza Hotel welcomed the Walking With The Wounded Everest 2012 Expedition Team to the Homecoming Ball on Friday 22nd of June. The team was reunited with the Glenfiddich Pioneers who trekked to Everest Base Camp last month during the summit attempt. In addition, Liverpool’s Natasha Hamilton, who scored three Number 1 hits as part of Atomic Kitten, was a guest at the ball and expressed her support for the charity: “Meeting the Walking With The Wounded team is amazing – truly humbling. They have achieved so much are are doing it all in such a good cause. I’m delighted to be here and meet the guys”.

The ball raised thousands of pounds for the charity and Walking With The Wounded team enjoy themselves as they were reunited with one another following the Everest 2012 Expedition. Karl Hinett, seen above right, said, “it’s a been a great night. Plenty of money raised for the charity, which is the main thing, but it’s been great to see the boys again. Surprisingly they don’t scrub up too badly”.
