Fergus Williams of Walking With The Wounded receives a cheque from Mr and Mrs Wright

It is with great thanks that we report news of Mr Brian Wright who raised over £1,000 by walking 200 miles over 12 days in a coast-to-coast challenge across the breadth of the United Kingdom. The fundraising trip was rounded off by travelling to Walking With The Wounded HQ to present the charity with a cheque for £1,053.

This is a wonderful achievement and Brian was quick to thank the support he had: ‘My wife and friend were integral to the walk – couldn’t have done it without them’. Mr Wright continued, ‘it’s important that normal people become involved with worthwhile causes – everyone can make a positive contribution’.

Mr Wright, who made the donation on behalf of the Suffolk Regiment Old Comrades Association, was thanked by Fergus Williams who received the cheque on behalf of Walking With The Wounded: ‘We are immensely grateful to Mr Wright; doing what he did is a huge achievement and his significant contribution will most certainly have a positive impact on the schemes we support. Walking With The Wounded actively encourages people to get involved and we are delighted to have the support of people like Mr Wright’.
