Walking With The Wounded Cyclist Don Maclean Arrives In The Alps

Don Maclean, injured by an IED blast whilst on service with Royal Marines by an IED blast in Afghanistan in 2011, has made no secret of the fact that he is looking forward to the massive challenge of the Trois Etapes race: “It’s going to be a sort of measuring stick for my rehab; I’ll see how I’ve recovered so far. My legs were damaged by the IED blast – all the bones were shattered – so cycling is a big challenge. I can’t wait to get out on the Alps with the team”.
