Iceland to support Walking With The Wounded

Leading supermarket Iceland has nominated Walking With The Wounded as an official charity of their annual Charity Week fundraising. The frozen food specialists will be driving customers to donate to support our charity and also Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Edward Parker, Co-Founder of Walking With The Wounded, has commented on the new partnership: ‘We’re obviously delighted that Iceland have announced that Walking With The Wounded will benefit from their Charity Week. This will help to raise awareness of what we do and demonstrate our work of re-skilling our wounded to a new audience. The funds raised will go directly to the programmes which we help to fund’. Mr Parker, a Paralympic Torch bearer along with Co-Founder Simon Daglish, continued: ‘Having partnerships and support from organisations like Iceland is vital to us. We are hugely grateful for their support. I’d like to extend the thanks of the charity and all those associated to those at Iceland who have chosen to support us in this way’.
