Inspirational Fundraisers: Richard Allinson – Limitless Challenge IronMan Wales

Limitless 2012 is the brain child of Richard Allinson, a 23 year old Management Consultant from London. Limitless 2012 comprises ten of the most challenging endurance events in Europe. Richard will be completing all ten events in 2012 along with anyone else inspired to take part. All money raised will go to Walking With The Wounded.

Currently Richard has completed six out of the ten challenges. His latest endurance feat was Iron Man Wales which involved a  2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile run in the picturesque setting of Tenby, South Wales. What makes this feat more extraordinary is that Richard did not even own a bike when he signed up to the race.

Richard completed the race in 12 hours, 31 minutes and 11 seconds and as you can see by the photos and the video it was a real physical ordeal but the sense of achievement in his face is palpable.

If Iron Man Wales wasn’t hard enough, Richard will be taking part in the USN Dorney Lake Triathlon on the 30th September!

Richard is pulling a team together for our Lands End to John o’ Groats trip which will kick off on the 7th October. Everyone is welcome to join for the whole trip or just one or two stages. The first stage will start early on Sunday the 7th, Lands End to Bristol (175 miles). Please do get in touch if you’d like to come along.
