WWTW Nominates Karl Hinett for The Soldiering On Sporting Endeavour Award

Walking With The Wounded has nominated Karl Hinett for the Soldiering On Sporting Endeavour Award after his incredible sport and adventure achievements in the last few years.
Private Karl Hinett’s life changed forever in 2005 when, as an 18 year-old soldier, his Warrior armoured vehicle was firebombed. Karl received burns to 37% of his body but despite his horrific injuries, he made a full recovery and, in 2012, Karl took part in Walking With The Wounded’s Everest expedition.

Fergus Williams was honoured to nominate the wounded serviceman on behalf of Walking With The Wounded, as an example of determination and success:
“What Karl has achieved in the last two years is an incredible feat, and he is the sort of person that inspires others to support Walking With The Wounded.”
Fergus Williams

Karl is profiled in today’s Mirror and he has been interviewed by Lorraine Kelly on ITV.
