Richard Allinson is a 24 year old Management Consultant, originally from the Isle of Man, now living in London. Over the course of 2012, he set himself the target of completing 10 of the most challenging endurance events in Europe. Individually, these challenges pushed both physical and mental strength to the limit.

In November last year the Limitless Challenge Team completed 9 of the 10 events. The challenges included Winter Tough Guy, Barcelona Marathon, Hadrian’s Wall Run, Olympic Distance Triathlon, Norfolk Super Hero, 3 Peaks Challenge, Iron Man Wales, John o’Groats to Lands, Rosedale Rumble Ultra Marathon.

Richard had to postpone the last challenge: River Thames Kayak, several time because of the bad weather conditions. A true ‘grit and bare it’ challenge comprised of an unsupported navigation of 120 miles of the River Thames in single man kayaks. The challenge is to complete the course in 36 hours, so hard paddling and minimal rest will be the order of the day.

“On Saturday the 1st of June we will be heading down to tackle the challenge. In under 36 hours. We’re going to try and attempt the challenge entirely unsupported.”Richard Allison
