Terry Byrne’s life changed forever after he fell victim to an improvised explosive device (IED) whilst carrying a routine night patrol in Afghanistan in August 2008. His injuries were sufficiently severe for his right leg to require amputation.

He will be part of the Walking With The Wounded Trois Etapes Cycle Team and he is preparing to take on the Alps over three stages based on the route of the legendary Tour de France.

Listen to his voiceblog and keep an eye on our Trois Etapes 2013 website for updates.
