Andrew Sandars from the private equity specialists LDC is a member of the Walking With The Wounded Team at this year’s Trois Etapes cycle race. He was very envious about his colleagues who participated in the race last year as part of the Walking With The Wounded Team. That envy has now turned into fear and trepidation.

“For me being asked to be a member of the WWTW team brings with it privilege, excitement and fear. Privilege because I am riding for a charity that I am closely connected both through 3 friends who are serving in Afghanistan; the excitement is from participating in such a unique and challenging event that only a few people can do; and fear of the unknown: three days of Alpine climbing – can I perform to a level where I am an asset to the team? That said I am sure it’s going to be fantastic and memorable few days. Here’s to more training…”Andrew Sandars
