At the launch of the Walking With The Wounded Team for the Trois Etapes 2013 pro-am cycle race at HMS Belfast, all the team got together for the first time and the atmosphere was really great. James Collins left a voiceblog to talk about the race and how the team was really inspired after having met para-cyclist Terry Byrne:

“We’ve got a fantastic bunch of riders, but moreover a fantastic bunch of individuals, all really committed to the team’s ethos. The launch was also the first time that most of us met team member Terry Byrne who became a para-cyclist after losing his right leg in Afghanistan… Meeting Terry brought home to all of us the strength of servicemen like Terry and moreover the objetives of Walking With The Wounded to help re-train and re-educate wounded servicemen and to help them find long-term employment…”James Collins
