Team Captain of the Trois Etapes 2013 Cycle Team, Mark Beaumont shares his feelings on the upcoming race as well as his hopes as team leader.
“It’s a month until we get to the French Apls with over 5,000 metres of climb to do over the four days… I’m the only one in the team who rode last year’s course, this one is quite different but I have a strong sense of the challenge ahead. I’ve been swimming and running, I just finished a 210 miles cross country challenge across Scotland, so my task is now to transfer that fitness onto the bike, and make sure I’m in shape to lead the team up to the French climbs.” – Mark Beaumont
