Norfolk Constabulary Peelers to cycle from London to Paris on July 11-13 for WWTW

Huge thanks and good luck to Nick Russell and his team mates from the Norfolk Constabulary Peelers Cycle Club who are biking from London to Paris on July 11-13 to raise funds for Walking With The Wounded.

Their 3-stage journey will take them from London to Dover, from Calais to Amiens and eventually from Amiens to Paris.

On July 13 the Peelers will visit the Commonwealth war cemetery at Namps-au-Val to pay their respects to Lieutenant Gordon Flowerdew VC, commander of C Squadron, Lord Strathcona’s Horse, who died of his wounds following the battle of Moreuil Wood on the 31st of March 1918.
Lt Flowerdew, who was born in Scole, Norfolk was schooled at Framlingham College Suffolk.

The Peelers will lay wreaths on behalf of Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.

‘It’s great to be able to support a local charity and one that is really doing good work’
                       – Inspector Nick Russell, Norfolk Constabulary Protective Services Command
