Etape 3: Col du Chaussy & Col de la Madeleine

General Classification (GC): Col du Chaussy & Col de la Madeleine
Date: Monday, 29 July 2013
Distance: 72km (GC 16km + 14km)
Start: Hermillon – Col du Chaussy (GC1)
Finish: Montoudras – Col de la Madeleine (GC2)
Climbing: 953m + 1,126m

On the final day, the peloton and the team cars will roll down the valley to the start of GC1 in Hermillon. The first climb of the day, the Col du Chaussy, will be an individual race against the clock as the two divisions of riders (and the pros) are set off in three groups (Masters, Elite & Pro).

After the climb, the Walking With The Wounded team will regroup at the top of the Col du Chaussy before carefully descending to Montoudras. The cyclists will then assemble in Montoudras, ahead of the 14km ascent to the top of Col de la Madeleine for the mountain team time trial.

At the end of the final General Classification, all riders and crew will drop back down to St Francois Lonchamps for the awards ceremony.

A total of 40 points is available for each team on Stage 3. A maximum of 20 points on the first GC section and a maximum of 20 points on the second GC section.

The first GC clock will stop when the seventh member of the team (amateurs or pro), summits the Col du Chaussy. The fastest team will be awarded 20 points, the second fastest 18 points and so on to the tenth fastest team, which will be awarded 2 points.

The second GC clock will stop when the fifth member of the team (amateurs or pro), summits the Col de la Madeleine.

The fastest team will be awarded 20 points, the second fastest 18 points and so on to the tenth fastest team which will be awarded 2 points.
