Team leader for the Walking With the Wounded Trois Etapes pro-am cycle race Mark Beaumont talks about the excitement and adrenaline of the team the night before the race.
The temperatures are going to be high, and the climbs are spectacular. Listen to Mark’s voice diary to hear it yourself:

“We are now out in the Alps, incredibly exciting, we’re in the little village of  Orelle, the whole team has arrived and the bikes are here and tomorrow the race is starting. So, there’s a lot of nervous energy, and we have arrived from the UK and a lot have arrived from the US as well. […] In terms of team I’ve got here Terry, Andy, Edward, Andrew, Greg, Matt and James. We’ve also got support drivers in the former base Dave Gorman, Rob Pendleton and Fergus Williams from the charity Walking With The Wounded, they are all in the support car. […] We’ll post some pictures on the blog as soon as we can, because you have to see it to believe it, it’s quite a spectacle.”
