The Team Gets in Touch from Alpe D ‘Huez Following the Brutal Climb of Col D ‘Iseran

The Walking With The Wounded Trois Etapes 2013 team leader Mark Beaumont gets in touch from the top of the 2,770m climb, reporting a great effort from the team.

“It was tougher today because we had to get six guys to the top. From the valley bottom we had a very fast team time trial. Ed (Hayter) and Andy (Block) on the front absolutely powered through. We were overtaking teams there, I think we overtook three or four teams and nobody overtook us. And then the long, long, long drag up. We came through a heavy rain shower, and it just went on and on.”
