Burgh Island Swim to Fundraise for WWTW. Thanks and Good Luck Jill!

On Sunday 4 August Jill Dodds is going to swim a mile around the beautiful island of Burgh to raise funds for Walking With The Wounded.
The Burgh Island, made famous by crime writer Agatha Christie as the back drop for her book Ten Little Indians is approximately 800 metres off Bigbury-on-Sea in Devon, measuring one mile in circumference.

“I’m raising money for Walking with the Wounded as I believe all our injured service personnel deserve as much support as possible.  The stories of so many of them inspired me so much, that swimming around an island seemed a minor feat. In addition I’m doing this to support the fund raising efforts of Sue Maynard, Ashridge Golf Club Ladies’ Captain, whose chosen charity is also Walking With The Wounded.”
