Composer Andy Cox To Give 100% of the Proceeds From His New Album Inconnu to WWTW

‘Inconnu’ is French for ‘Unknown’ and is the single word engraved on thousands of gravestones in the many military cemeteries found in France and Belgium. They are a lasting tribute to the men of the allied forces who gave their lives fighting against Germany and her supporters in the First World War.

The composer for Film, TV, Theatre and Multi-Media Andy Cox adopted it as the title for this project for the same reason and to extend that tribute to those men and women who have served their countries in conflict since and still do today.

The album will be released in 2014 and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Walking With The Wounded, to fund both the re-training and re-education of wounded servicemen and women with the aim of helping them find long term employment after they have left the Armed Forces.

“The First World War has long been a subject of particular interest for me and the idea of creating a musical work on the subject has been many years in development. I am delighted to be invloved with Walking With The Wounded and to be able to align a personal interest and ambition of mine with an opportunity to support their fantastic work.”
