An Evening In Antarctica At London’s Royal Geographical Society

After their incredible expedition across the world’s most inhospitable landscape, members of the expedition party from the Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge will be reunited to speak at the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) on 2 April.

The RGS is a venue with a rich history, closely entwined with adventure and exploration, making it the perfect location for recounting the trials and tribulations of the planning, training and expedition to the South Pole. As well as the talk from the teams, guests will have the privilege of seeing previously unseen footage and images from the trip.

The audience will enjoy a cash bar throughout and a unique opportunity to ask questions of the team as they discuss the gruelling selection process, arduous training regimes, highly complex logistics and, of course, the feat of endurance undertaken by all twelve of the wounded servicemen and women who reached the South Pole together.

“Having seen what these inspirational men and women have achieved, with regard to their injuries as well as with regard to the expedition, it is only fitting that they share their stories.”

– Edward Parker, Expedition Director and Co-Founder of Walking With The Wounded
