The Marathon Des Sables 2015

Inspired by this year’s Marathon Des Sables runners? Walking With The Wounded is looking for the next team of incredible fundraisers to take on the toughest foot race on Earth…Could it be you?

Tomorrow is the day that the Walking With The Wounded Marathon des Sables team will begin their epic adventure, and we wanted to wish them the best of luck with the journey ahead. They’re doing an amazing job raising valuable funds for injured servicemen and women, so to push them on and show your support be sure to donate!

The Marathon Des Sables, or MdS, is a gruelling multi-stage adventure through the Sahara desert, where muscle and mettle are put to the test over five days of running. It’s an unforgettable experience and a race that grows in popularity every year, with around 800 runners rising to the challenge under the boiling Moroccan sun.

Walking With The Wounded have an inspirational team of fundraisers running the MdS this year, and already the next wave of competitors are being invited to register their interest for 2015 with entrance open to individuals and teams, amateur and elite runners. With runners coming from all over the world, the MdS is a truly international event that has a positive impact on the local environment and in local communities. Running for Walking With The Wounded will raise valuable funds for injured servicemen and women, and give you a chance to say you’ve competed in the toughest foot race on Earth.
