Cumbrian Challenge 2014 089 sponsor Over 50s prize for Cumbrian Challenge

Didn’t think your team could win a prize in Cumbria? Think again., the website for the over 50s, has generously chosen Walking With The Wounded as one of its featured charities and is launching the partnership by offering a special prize at our Cumbrian Challenge in the Lake District.

As well as promoting Walking With The Wounded’s news, charitable programmes and events to its rapidly growing network (the UK’s most active web portal and social media forum for the over 50s), Silversurfers has kindly donated a Kindle Fire Tablet for the fastest over 50s team (teams of four with an average age of 50+) on the ‘Tough’ and the ‘Tougher’ courses at the event in Grasmere on 16 May.

Find out more about the Cumbrian Challenge and the other prizes on offer. Every team that enters will support a wounded veteran into work.

Check out and the first few articles about the charity on the site, including a Q&A with WWTW co-founder Ed Parker and a novel way to mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.
