Following Saturday’s disaster in Nepal which has claimed the lives of thousands of people Walking With The Wounded, the charity that supports wounded veterans back into employment has announced that they have donated all excess kit from their South Pole expedition in 2013 to a Nepalese appeal by fellow Norfolk based charity, Nepal In Need.

The kit was previously used by Prince Harry and three teams of wounded servicemen and women to trek to the geographic South Pole in November 2013.  Included in the kit are sleeping bags, tents, wind shelters, hand warmers and much more.

Founder of the charity Nepal in Need, Catherine Blaiklock,  has today issued an urgent plea for people to donate tents so that they can be taken out to the devastated region by trustees who are flying out in the coming days.

Edward Parker, Co-founder and CEO, Walking With The Wounded commented: “What’s happening in Nepal is devastating and I just hope the kit we have donated will help some of the many people suffering as a result of the earthquake on Saturday.”
