Fundraiser Friday 26/02/2015

Without all of our amazing fundraisers we wouldn’t be able to support vulnerable veterans. To highlight your hard work we are sharing your events and expeditions each Friday to say thank you! Here are a few of the wonderful events you have organised in the past few months:

Becca Turner

As the mother of a young man in the Household Cavalry, Rebecca Turner is keen to support military charities. Becca, and her friends in a military mum’s group most recently chose to raise funds for Walking With The Wounded after being inspired by our work on the DIY SOS Veterans Big Build in Manchester. The group set up an online fundraising page, and through the kindness and generosity of those around them raised an incredible £1000 in total.

Callum Barber

Young Callum donned his walking boots and joined his dad, Ian, in Walking Home For Christmas 2015, helping to support homeless veterans. Ian became interested in the campaign after hearing WWTW Co-Founder and CEO Ed Parker speak about the charity and the event, and signed up. Together the pair walked from M+A Partners in Cromer to Holt on the 23rd December and raised roughly £700 in total. Since completing the walk, Callum has been awarded a Blue Peter badge for his tremendous effort! Well done to Callum.
