Carrow Road to celebrate Armed Forces Day

This Saturday’s (16.04.2016)  Norwich City game sees the club recognising locally-based service personnel as part of the Club’s annual Armed Forces Day.

The Club will be joined by representatives of RAF Marham, 1st The Queens Dragoon Guards “The Welsh Cavalry”, as well as members of the Forces2Canaries supporters group – who are City fans serving around the county and country in our Armed Forces.
Ahead of the game Norwich City FC will be welcoming charity volunteers from Walking With The Wounded who will be outside Carrow Road with a bucket collection.
Based at Melton Constable, Walking With The Wounded is a charity established to support all Armed Forces veterans with physical, mental or social injuries, helping them to gain the skills and qualifications necessary to develop new careers outside the military, re-integrate into society and provide long-term security for themselves and their families.
A guard of honour representing all of our guests on Saturday will line up ahead of the match and at half-time so please give them a warm welcome as they walk around Carrow Road led by the 231 (Norwich) Squadron Marching Band.
