Fundraiser Friday 06.05.2016

Without all of our amazing fundraisers we wouldn’t be able to support vulnerable veterans. To highlight your hard work we are sharing your events and expeditions each Friday to say thank you! Here are a couple of the wonderful fundraisers who have gone out of their way to raise money for our wounded.

Milton Abbey School

At the end of March 30 pupils from Milton Abbey School in Dorset took part in a 4 day expedition to the Lake District to raise money for Walking with the Wounded.  The challenging expedition included an ascent of Skiddaw in the snow, a 2000ft Via Ferrata and a ‘gyhll scramble’ which, for the uninitiated, is a descent of an icy mountain river! Congratulations to the Milton Abbey pupils who showed great courage and determination throughout this adventure raising £680 for Walking with the Wounded.

Mick Crowther and the  25 Bty Old Boys

Many thanks to Mick Crowther and the  25 Bty Old Boys.  Every year they host a weekend reunion for ex-Battery and this year it was in Blackpool and they raised £750 for Walking With The Wounded.  Thank you so much!
