Fundraiser Friday 03.06.2016

Without all of our amazing fundraisers we wouldn’t be able to support vulnerable veterans. To highlight your hard work we are sharing your events and expeditions each Friday to say thank you! Here are a couple of the wonderful fundraisers who have gone out of their way to raise money for our wounded.

The Commandant’s Charity Walk

We would like to thank Col Andy Dawes who has just completed his 320 mile walk 13 days.   He is currently the County Commandant for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Army Cadet Force and having turned 50 at the end of 2015, decided to challenge himself.    Hampshire and IOW ACF choose to support two charities each year to help raise funds.  For 2016 they supported Walking with the wounded and Simon Says. The fundraising period will be the for whole of 2016.  So far Col Andy Dawes has raised £1,225.

Thank you from all of us here at WWTW for your sterling efforts and a well deserved rest.

Tour of The Highlands

Thanks to Neil Fryer, John Pattison and Martin Young for taking part in the Tour of the Highlands which is a cycle sportive over 3 days, 5 ski centres  covering 300 miles, ascending 21000 ft.  So far they have raised £1,495 which is enough to support two veterans through our Head Start programme.  Thank you for such a fantastic effort.
