An evening with Gen Lord David Richards

November 11, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm, £36

Join us for a unique insight into Afghanistan

Walking With The Wounded is hosting a special evening with former Chief of the Defence Staff General Lord David Richards on Tuesday 11th November from 6:30pm at La Galleria, Pall Mall.

General Sir David Richards

The reception will be hosted within a private viewing of an art exhibition by Arabella Dorman called ‘Before the Dawn‘: An Artist’s Journey through Afghanistan. Arabella was officially embedded within the British armed forces in Afghanistan and her paintings are drawn from those first-hand experiences along with her personal travels in the region.

General Sir David Richards will talk about his time in Afghanistan and guests will also have the opportunity to hear from Mr Mirwais Alizai,  a 32-year-old Afghan entrepreneur and CEO of GTR, an expanding Information and Communications Technology company, who is sponsoring the exhibition. Mr Alizai was born in Helmand province and as a teenager became the sole breadwinner for his family following the death of his father. He has gone on to found a successful business enterprise that contributes to his vision of a self-sustained Afghan economy.

Guests will be treated to drinks and canapés. The exhibition runs from 5th to 15th November and is open daily from 10am.

5% of all painting sales will go to Walking With The Wounded.

Tickets £36. BOOK your tickets HERE. For further details or queries please contact:
