Walking Home For Christmas 2014

December 15, 2014 - December 23, 2014, £15 per person

Earn your turkey and inspire your friends, colleagues and family by walking home from work this Christmas – no matter how far or how long it takes – to raise funds for those who won’t be spending the festive season at home with their families.

Walking With The Wounded needs £40,000 to launch a new homeless project for its ‘Make it Work’ initiative which helps wounded, injured and sick veterans who have become homeless back into work.

We want as many people to join us on this once-a-year micro expedition. Ditch the train, the bus, your car or your bike, put on your trainers or walking boots and get walking.

The rules

The only rule is that you have to do the walk between 15 – 23 December and be home safe in time for Christmas.

Whether you work 1 mile or 100 miles from home, it doesn’t matter how long it takes or how many times you stop.

Why not ask friends and colleagues to join you – it could spark even more of an adventure and be more fun than taking on the challenge on your own.

Our wounded Servicemen and women have walked in far worse and more dangerous environments than we care to imagine – let’s give something back while really earning our Turkey and trimmings this Christmas.
