Chillingham Castle and Sir Humphrey – what an absolute delight! He’s a man of great stature, great fun and has some great stories and experiences.
He took us around the castle and gave us a personal tour, we were all just enraptured by him. He’s such a wonderful man and he’s got the most incredible things to say, for example his great uncle was one of the first to attempt Everest and another relative was one of the first to get across the Antarctic!
His character and his love of life are so impressive that he just entertained us all evening!
The walk was another great one, good weather and nice views. We kind of just all had our heads down and were focused, we were on a mission to get to the castle and see what it was all about and find out whether it really is haunted.
The castle was amazing, and the tour was definitely the best tour I have ever been given in my life!
