Today was a very nice day, one because there were great walking conditions – it was overcast, so not too hot, and two because we were joined by the co-owners of YESSS Electrical, Ashley and Adam. We thoroughly enjoyed having them with us and we were very keen to learn more about them and their work.
Before the finish we stopped in a town called Bedale, where there was a great reception. A group from the local high school came to greet us and handed out water and mars bars, the Mayor of Bedale was there as well and she was lovely and there were also some guys from RAF Leeming.
After the warm welcome at Bedale we carried on to the YESSS Electical branch in Ripon, we were escorted through the town by 7 or 8 Royal Engineers who took us into the industrial estate. Adam and Ashley were kind enough to show us around their facilities there, which were very impressive, and once again we were met by the local Mayor, who was a wonderful lady.
Overall it was a brilliant day and I am looking forward to getting on with the rest of the week!
