Regular Giving

Whatever challenges people face, we can overcome them together.

Most people make a smooth transition to civilian life, but for a significant minority, civvy street can be a very tough and lonely place to start a new life.

When people leave the Services, they can face all kinds of challenges. These include mental health problems, physical disability, financial hardship and social isolation. The ‘stay at home’ measures that have been in place have only made matters worse.

What these veterans need most is someone who will walk alongside them and support them every step of the way. That’s exactly what we can do with your support. You can help the UK’s most vulnerable ex-servicemen and women overcome social isolation, homelessness and mental trauma.

Why give monthly

Cost Effective

Monthly Giving lowers administration costs, which means that more of your money goes to were it is needed the most, rebuilding lives.

Long-term investment

Your month donation allows us to take a planned, long-term approach.  As part of our troops you work side-by-side with us, making long-lasting improvements to veteran’s lives.

Beyond handouts

The individuals we support are not looking for handouts – they are working towards rebuilding their lives which are made possible by your monthly gifts.

Three ways your donations can make a difference

  • Your support will help our team make a telephone call to a socially isolated veteran.
  • Your gift could help towards a private mental health therapy session – which can be delivered online
  • Your support could help someone attend group support sessions in their area.

An important message from Ed Parker our Co-Founder

Keep caring and carry on

The coronavirus crisis has created huge challenges for us as a charity this year. It has been harder for us to raise the funds we need to continue supporting veterans and their families. A number of our events have been postponed, including our biggest fundraising event of the year, the Cumbrian Challenge.

In spite of the challenges and increased pressure on our services due to the pandemic, we’ve continued to support our veterans on a daily basis. Our support workers and therapists have made over 2000 welfare calls during lockdown. We have also responded to NHS requests for help by providing teams of ex-service volunteers to the NHS Nightingale Hospital.

We need your help to ensure we can continue to support vulnerable ex-Service personnel – so please, if you can, make a donation today
