Cumbria 2018: Best team names?

More than 100 teams signed up for our walking event in the Lake District

What’s in a name? Walking With The Wounded's Cumbrian Challenge event is about teamwork, camaraderie, overcoming obstacles and working together to raise funds for ex-military who want to regain their independence.

The team name pins each team of four together - it's the badge under which their efforts will be recorded and remembered. So some of our fundraisers enjoy being a little inventive with it to help them with their fundraising efforts and build up the banter in the countdown to this year’s event in the Lake District.

With more than 100 teams signed up to join us in Grasmere to meet, walk with and be inspired by the ex-forces we support, we've got a lot of names to groan at.

Here are some of our favourites who are taking on the Peak, the Tough or the Tougher routes in May….

  • The Tough Cookies
  • Proper Peaky (Birketts)
  • It’s accrual world   (ESRI UK)
  • Law and Odour (Birketts)
  • Peaky Blinders (FDM)
  • Loan Rangers (Barclays)
  • Royal Wedding Invite Lost In Post (WYG)
  • Scrambled Legs (Arqiva)
  • Major Disaster (AIG)
  • Chafing the Dream (FDM)

Which one is your favourite?
