Launch of the Veterans’ Gateway
Walking With The Wounded is proud to be one of the referral partners for the Veterans' Gateway - the first point of contact for veterans seeking support.
With a vast network of organisations supporting the Armed Forces community, finding the right one can take some navigating. The core aim of the Veterans’ Gateway is to make this easier and quicker by being the first point of contact for whatever support a veteran and their family needs – wherever and whenever they need it.
Veterans’ Gateway is a partnership between The Royal British Legion, Poppy Scotland, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, Combat Stress and service provider Connect Assist. As the gateway to a network of expert partners, it connects people with the right support quickly and easily, by assessing needs at the first point of contact. Funded by The Armed Forces Covenant, this is the first time a group of this kind has come together formally to deliver a service to help the Armed Forces Community.
Tuesday 20th June marked the official launch of the Veterans’ Gateway - the first point of contact for veterans seeking support after leaving the Armed Forces and Walking With The Wounded is proud to be one of the referral partners involved.
Make the Veterans' Gateway your first port of call. Whether you're a veteran looking for a new home, having financial troubles or struggling with employment, the Veterans' Gateway can connect you directly to the help you're looking for from organisations that support the ex-service community - wherever and whenever you need it.
