Armed Forces Day 2017
Walking With The Wounded beneficiaries Harry and David discuss their own mental health journeys after leaving the Armed Forces.
Walking With The Wounded is a proud referral partner of Contact. Contact is a collaboration of military charities working with the NHS and the MoD in order to make it simpler for the military community to find support with their mental well-being.
This Armed Forces Day, Contact have put together a selection of videos in order to give veterans the chance to talk about their own mental health journeys after the Armed Forces.
Here Harry gives us an insight into his experience after leaving the army and how Head Start provided him with the support he needed.
David discusses his own mental health journey and describes the challenges that he faced when it came to seeking support. Head Start provided David with access to a therapist that helped him get back on track.
Your mental health is equally as important as your physical health. If you are serving, have served, or are a family member or friend of an Armed Forces member then the support is out there.
This Armed Forces Day, please show your support for veterans like Harry and David.
