Thank you to The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity - RNRMC
RNRMC award WWTW £20,000 to support those who have served in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines.
Walking With The Wounded are grateful for the continued support of RNRMC, who have been enabling us to provide our employment, mental health and care coordination programmes since 2017. RNRMC is the principal charity of the Royal Navy. They exist to support sailors, marines and their families, for life.
WWTW will use this £20,000 grant to support those who served in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines, specifically;
o To maintain family relationships
o To improve the transition to civilian life
o To continue to support those who need ongoing support post transition to civilian life, particularly around employment.
Matthew, a Royal Navy veteran who has used our mental health programme, Head Start states: “the sad reality is that if I hadn’t got help when I did, I don’t think I’d be here now. My therapist went above and beyond what she needed to, the care was phenomenal. I have gone from not being able to cope with every day life to the point where I have started my own business.”
The support of RNRMC has been even more vital in 2020 as Covid-19 presents additional challenges to the veteran community. We thank them for enabling WWTW to continue to provide services for those who have served, in leading fulfilling and independent lives.
