Only 3 days to go until Eddie Izzard completes her monumental feat of running a marathon every day whilst raising vital funds for charities, including Walking With The Wounded.
This month, actor and
comedian Eddie Izzard undertook an incredible New Year’s
resolution - ‘A Run for Hope’ - to usher in a new year and a new future,
encouraging people all over Europe and around the world to help ‘Make Humanity
Great Again’. As well as running a full marathon every day, Eddie also
performed a stand-up comedy gig every evening. The whole ‘Run For Hope’
challenge and the stand-up shows was streamed live online to a global audience
around the world at eddieizzard.com
Eddie has
always had a fascination with the military and even considered joining the
armed forces before pursuing a career in comedy and acting.
“I wanted to be in the Forces when I was kid…I was
a cadet…I [planned] to do the three years at university [and] get paid for it
as a Second Lieutenant… I thought in a very military way, very strategic. So,
the plan was [to join] the Marines or Paras then try and get into the Special
Forces.” - Eddie Izzard
