WWTW Announce Partnership with Veteran Owned UK

Veteran Owned UK, the largest online veteran-owned business directory, list WWTW as chosen charity

Veteran Owned UK (VOUK) was set up by former British Army Royal Engineer, Scott Johnson, to help support ex-military business owners. Inspired by the prevalence of veteran-owned businesses in the USA, Scott decided to start the first veteran-owned business directory for the UK, providing members of the public user-friendly access to support veterans in their community.

WWTW was introduced to VOUK after they took part in Walking Home For Christmas 2020, raising an incredible £5,148 as an organisation to help support those who served. Since getting involved in the fundraising campaign in December 2020, Scott Johnson, is now also a volunteer Business Ambassador and gives his time to supporting WWTW’s fundraising ambitions.

WWTW will now formally join the ranks of VOUK’s highlighted organisations that proactively support veterans and veterans in business, as well as becoming VOUK’s charity of choice. Current Partners of Veteran Owned UK include the likes of G-Shock, Vodafone, and Watkins & Gunn.

Founder of Veteran Owned UK, Scott Johnson, said, “I am very pleased to be supporting Walking With The Wounded after seeing the amazing work the organisation does in helping veterans. Adding WWTW to the VOUK list of Partners allows VOUK to give something back and play a small part in helping raise more awareness of this outstanding charity and the work they do.”

WWTW’s Head of Income, Joel Oxberry, added, “Walking With The Wounded is proud to have been selected as Veteran Owned UK’s chosen charity partner. Being the UK’s largest online Veteran’s Owned directory, we see great synergy between the members of their business and the community which we support. We hope that this partnership will elevate our charity to a new audience which, in turn, will provide much-needed funds to enable us to create positive outcomes for veterans that have landed on hard times.”
