Invest in the future by rebuilding lives today – Walking With The Wounded Legacies
Walking With The Wounded has recently updated our legacy program to reflect how the Gift in Wills landscape is changing with more opportunities to write or amend one’s Will online and/or remotely.
Every year, thousands of servicemen and women leave
the Forces. Whilst most transition into civilian life relatively easily, others
struggle.
We
recognise the inherent skills of our armed service personnel and we strive to
support their transition from a life in the military to civvy street. We offer
assistance through our employment, mental health, care coordination, and
criminal justice programmes to veterans who have been physically, mentally, or
socially disadvantaged by their service. Our support enables those who served
to regain their independence through new sustainable careers outside of the
military.
Walking
With The Wounded has recently updated our legacy program to reflect how the
Gift in Wills landscape is changing with more opportunities to write or amend
one’s Will online and/or remotely. As a result of the pandemic, online Will
writing has increased exponentially with 62% of over 55’s preferring to write
their Will online.
Walking
With The Wounded is collaborating with 3 main organisations as part of our
legacy service. Farewill, as an online Will writing and telephone partner, The Goodwill Partnership providing face to face Will writing and Onceivegone (OIG),
a digital legacy planning service. OIG enables
you to get your personal, legal, and financial affairs in order, to ensure
those closest to you have access at the time when they need it the most. It
allows you to organise your affairs by storing a digital record of important
information. You can also store memories and messages through photos, videos,
and music as well as leave instructions for your family making difficult
decisions easier for your family and help them ensure that your wishes are met.
OIG
is donating 25% of the membership back to the charity as well as offering free
membership for life to all clients who have been supported by Walking With The
Wounded.
Leaving
a legacy to Walking With The Wounded will help ex-military men and women long
into the future. It will make sure we can continue to give them the tools to
rebuild their lives and start again protecting them and their families from
being left without support or advice. Leaving a gift in your Will gives you the
power to rebuild lives and invest in their future today.
