Veteran Owned UK backing Call To Arms Business Challenge
New opportunity to work with other veteran owned businesses...
Veteran Owned UK, the UK’s largest online directory of veteran owned businesses, is supporting Walking With The Wounded’s Call To Arms Business Challenge as a way of bringing together veterans and employees as we come out of lockdown.
The event is a new, entrepreneurial way companies big and small can spark new business ideas and collaborations while also funding the charity’s life-changing mental health, employment and care coordination programmes, empowering veterans and their families to thrive and contribute once more. Teams of 1-10 are challenged to raise £1,000 between Armed Forces Day (26 June) and Remembrance Day (11 November) – while benefiting from unique advice to inspire them.
Scott Johnson, founder of VOUK and a business ambassador for Walking With The Wounded said: “This is a prime opportunity for sole traders, teams and departments within veteran owned businesses to pull up a sandbag and come up with some new ideas that will not only help their own businesses reach new customers or create networking opportunities but crucially raise funds for the minority who served and haven’t been as fortunate.
"We’re looking forward to rallying our network for the cause, sparking new introductions and partnerships between the many and brilliant veteran owned businesses which very often are driven by purpose and a desire to give back – and are more successful as a result of this.”
