Walking With The Wounded Launch new fundraising campaign to demonstrate how small donations can change lives.

WWTW has launched ‘Small Steps Big Differences’ a new fundraising campaign designed to show how small donations can unlock the biggest differences in the lives of those who served.

Walking With The Wounded’s expert staff generate job opportunities, deliver access to immediate mental health care, and support veterans and their families to get back on their feet – but it is our Quick Relief Fund that is often the tipping point for success.

Sometimes, the smallest amount of money can help to transform lives. Be it a £30 pair of work boots to enable a veteran to start employment, a £7.50 bus pass so they can attend an interview or £20 for a veteran to buy his young daughter a birthday present to stem suicidal thoughts for, in his words, ‘failing as a father’. The little things making the big differences that help crystallize our work.

Fergus Williams, CEO of WWTW, commented, “When supporting those who served, sometimes the smallest step can kick-start their journey towards a life of independence. Whether that means purchasing a pair of shoes so they can attend a job interview or buying them a bus ticket so that they can get to and from work. The Small Steps Big Differences Campaign shows how a small donation can have a life-changing impact.”

The Small Steps Big Differences campaign launches in June and throughout the month, WWTW will share uplifting stories of hope, perseverance, and military values. Because those who served, deserve.
