MITIE teams take on Walking With The Wounded’s Cumbrian Challenge
There are less than 2 months to go until hundreds of teams descend on Grasmere to take on Walking With The Wounded’s annual Cumbrian Challenge. The event was postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic but thanks to the resilience of our dedicated supporters, this year promises to be bigger and better.
This year, more than 175 teams have signed up to take on the challenge, including 6 teams from Mitie who have so far raised over £6,100 which will enable Walking With The Wounded to continue to deliver vital support services to those who served.
James Davis,
Events Manager at Walking With The Wounded, commented, “Everyone at Walking With The Wounded cannot wait to
welcome all of the teams to the annual Cumbrian Challenge. The past 18-months
have been incredibly tough for all of us, and we are looking forward to seeing
everyone on the hills at Grasmere. We are delighted to see so many people
signing up to take part and would like to thank Mitie for continuing to support
Walking With The Wounded and our ex-military community.”
