Smith & Pinching to take on the Cumbrian Challenge
So far, hundreds of Corporates and almost 200 teams have signed-up to hike together and raise funds to support veterans and their families.
With three routes to choose from, the Cumbrian Challenge, our annual fundraising event caters to all abilities. In this interview, we speak to the team at Smith & Pinching, a Norwich-based company to find out why they’ve signed up for the challenge.
Please tell us about Smith & Pinching.
We are a proud Chartered status Independent Financial Advising Company established in Norwich in 1973 with clientele all over the UK and also worldwide. We love to support local charities and with WWTW based in Stody, Norfolk, this is perfect.
Why is Smith & Pinching taking part in the Cumbrian Challenge?
Because we love a challenge and it’s inspirational.
Why have you decided to support Walking With The Wounded?
A company we brought into the Smith & Pinching family had done this event previously, so we were happy to continue their tradition.
There are less than 2 months to go until the event! What are you most looking forward to?
Taking part in a team event but also the personal challenge – it’s awesome.
Together, Smith & Pinching’s three teams have raised £3,000 so far. What advice would you give to other supporters looking to boost their fundraising?
This is always tricky when there are so many ‘asks’ on peoples purse strings, but get colleagues involved, organise office events ‘dress-up for the day and charge for the privilege.
