Abseil to support those who served!
On Wednesday, November 10th, a team of brave Walking With The Wounded (‘WWTW’) supporters will take on a terrifying and exciting challenge as they abseil from the heights of Chester Cathedral to raise vital funds for WWTW.
The event is being organised and run by Challenge The Wild, a WWTW
partner. They are delivering the challenge to support both veterans and their family members.
On Wednesday, the indoor abseiling event will start at 10.00 am and
finish at 16.00. A maximum of 10 people can abseil each hour and each
participant will need to pay £40.00 to take part and fundraise a minimum of
£150.00.
Dan Searson, Founder and Director of Challenge
The Wild, commented,
“This is a fantastic opportunity to see the magnificent Chester Cathedral from
a totally unique perspective and raise money for an important cause. Challenge
The Wild are excited to be hosting this event on behalf of Walking With The
Wounded. The team are looking forward to supporting as many people as possible
to take part in this challenge.”
Talking about the event, Joel Oxberry, WWTW’s
Head of Income, added,
“This event provides our supporters with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to
take part in something truly incredible. It’s not every day that you can abseil
from the top of Chester Cathedral! Thank you to Dan and the whole team at
Challenge The Wild for continuing to support WWTW and those who served.”
