Walking With The Wounded postpones Armed Forces Day Battlefield Cycle event to 2023
Walking With The Wounded’s Battlefield Cycle which was set to see teams of riders’ cycle approximately 80 miles per day across 5 days, from Amsterdam to Paris, accompanied by a military historian, has been postponed until Summer 2023.
The event has been postponed until
next year to maximise WWTW’s Battlefield Cycle’s success and allow more time
for riders to sign-up to the challenge.
James Davis, WWTW Events Manager, said, “This is
an exciting new event for WWTW and whilst we are disappointed that we have had
to postpone this until next year, we are certain that it will be an incredible
challenge for keen cyclists and WWTW supporters to look forward to in 2023.”
WWTW’s 2023 Battlefield Cycle will be led by White Rock
Events, who have combined over 50 years of experience in organising charity
cycle rides and cycle tours. Those who sign up for the event are required to
raise a minimum of £2,000.
Whilst this event has been pushed
back, there are still plenty of challenges for our supporters to get involved
in this year, including our Cumbrian Challenge in May and our Longest Day
Challenge, created in collaboration with Brian Wood MC, which takes place in
June.
