The Cumbrian Challenge – 2 weeks to go! -Written by Fergus Williams, WWTW CEO.

The Cumbrian Challenge 2022 is almost here. The WWTW team is looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Grasmere to take on our 9th Cumbrian Challenge event.

Thank you to everyone who has rallied and signed up with their teams. So far, over 128 teams are getting ready to tackle the Lake District fells and raise vital funds to support ex-military and their families.

The Cumbrian Challenge is WWTW’s flagship fundraising event. Over the years, over 1,200 teams have worked together to complete the gruelling yet rewarding challenge, pushing themselves physically and mentally. Thanks to everyone’s phenomenal efforts, the event has raised more than £1.2 million.

The Cumbrian Challenge is a brilliant team-building event, but it also helps to raise money to support WWTW and those who served. This fundraising supports our targeted and collaborative life-changing programmes for veterans and their family members, including our volunteer, mental health, and care coordination programmes.

Thank you to those who have signed up. I hope you enjoy this year’s Cumbrian Challenge.
