"Thanks to the support I have received from Walking With The Wounded, my mental health is in a good place."
Read David's story and hear how Walking Home For Christmas really does make a difference.
"Thanks to the support I have received from Walking With The Wounded, my mental health is in a good place, which means I am able to concentrate on my studies. It also means I can enjoy this Christmas by spending it with those I care about," says David from Birmingham who joined the Royal Marines in 2012.
David was medically discharged after sustaining several injuries during Royal Marines Commando training. In 2015 he could tell things were getting ‘out of control’ and was referred to WWTW’s mental health programme, Head Start. He completed 12 sessions of therapy and now says that he is back to a ‘good place’.
"I hope more veterans will take similar journeys to me and lean on Walking With The Wounded to get the support they need."
You can make a difference to the futures of ex-servicemen and women like David, simply by going for walk this December. All we ask is that you sign up and put your best foot forward, and in turn serve those who have served us.
