Diamond Winner!
Webbs Jewellers in Holt, Norfolk, donate stunning diamond in Christmas prize draw
One Norfolk lady’s Christmas was made on Friday 22nd December
as a result of being the lucky winner of a beautiful diamond worth £2,000
donated by Webbs Jewellers in Holt in aid of local charity Walking With The
Wounded. Since the beginning of November, people have had the opportunity
to purchase a ticket for £10 to be in with the chance of winning the diamond
with all funds raised going directly to support our wounded ex-servicemen and
women. The lucky winner was local resident Judith Mitchell who was over
the moon when Olly Webb, Director of Webbs rang her up from the shop to tell
her of her exciting win. In total, the diamond competition raised £2,050
for Walking With The Wounded.
The lucky ticket was drawn at 2pm on Friday 22nd December by
double leg amputee, war veteran and local resident, Duncan Slater.
Ed Parker, Co-Founder and CEO of Walking With The Wounded commented: “We are hugely grateful to Webbs Jewellers – not only was it such a fun idea but hugely generous and the funds raised will significantly improve the lives of our ex-servicemen and women. Such an amount could pay for two veterans to complete our mental health programme or indeed pay for the training and skills needed for an ex-serviceman or woman to get back into employment allowing him / her to regain their independence. Thank you to Olly and all the team at Webbs.”
