Julia's Kit List!

Julia Bradbury and The Outdoor Guide recommend the best kit for our Cumbrian and Balmoral Challenges!

When it comes to jackets, walkers can never have too many. Jackets for warmth, jackets for rain, jackets for warmth AND rain...! You get the picture. So when it comes to choosing kit for a walk, the options are endless. That's where our good friends at The Outdoor Guide (TOG) come in...

The Outdoor Guide is an online resource set up by Julia Bradbury and her sister Gina that aims to bring together all the must-know information for walking, along with the gear to go with it.

On The Outdoor Guide, there are some amazing gear and gadgets to browse through, interesting things to do, along with suggested places to stay. There really is something for anyone who enjoys the outdoors!" says Gina.

Julia says: “Walking is the best form of exercise, it is known to change the way we think. There's something about the motion of walking that connects with the brain, enhances our mood and engages the body while giving us scope for reflection."

For those taking part in our Cumbrian Challenge or Balmoral Challenge this year, Julia and The Outdoor Guide have pulled together their very own list of recommended kit. Here's what they love to take walking....
